Fees and Rebates

Exercise physiology services are provided by Life Fit Cairns using two different arrangements as either private patients or patients who qualify for Medicare rebates.

Private patients do not require a referral and may be entitled to a health fund rebate with the amount varying between the participating health funds. To find out which funds have recognised the importance of exercise in improving health please click here.

Medicare rebates are available for those patients who are being managed by their GPs for complex medical conditions under a Chronic Disease Management Plan. For more information on qualification please click here.

Fees are based on the type of patient, the length of consultation and the location.  All home visits including those patients seen under a GPMP incur travel costs which are factored into your fees. There are discounts available for patients who would like to prepay for 5 or 10 visits.

Payment for services is required at the time of consultation. Mobile payment facilities are available for Eftpos and Medicare Easyclaim with electronic fund transfer and cash as alternatives. Invoices and receipts for private health fund claims can be provided.
